A place in Fujian called Ehoa and family names

Post by yuminnan »

I’m looking for some help with a place name and family names. I had very good help of this forum before. It was essential in finding our family roots. See:

http://www.chinalanguage.com/forums/vie ... =6&t=58102
and
http://siyigenealogy.proboards.com/thre ... sang-tseng

Now I’m looking again for some answers.

I found in a document from 1886 a place name. It is called Ehoa (EHOA). Is there anybody who knows this place / village? It is in Fujian.

I also found names of relatives. They lived in the mid 19th century. Their names:

Oe Pik Liem
Oe Pikwaij

and
Oe Hong Gie
Oe Hong Boen

and
Oe Jong Bie
Oe Jong San

Is there anybody who knows the correct characters for these names? I know the family name, that is 余

I found one of the answers in an old document. It is from around 1865. Oe Pik Liem writes its own signature. It is:

余碧临
