Hardest thing about self-study

What is it? What works the best? What's something new we need?
I think it's the support from other students. It's quite easy to lose motivation when there's no one kicking your butt and no one to create competition. The best thing is the freedom to study whenever I want. I think we need more real teachers online. People with lots of experience and a good understanding on how to teach Chinese and languages in general.
