The Winner of 6th Golden Bauhinia Awards

Qin Hailu won the Best Actress Award The results of the 6th Golden Bauhinia Awards, voted by the members of The Hong Kong Film Critics's Association, were announced on 18 Mar 2001. Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon won the Best Film, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actress Awards. Qin Hailu, who played a prostitute coming from Mainland in Fruit Chan's Durian Durian, became the unexpected winner of the Best Leading Actress Award, beating Maggie Cheung and Sammi Cheng. Andy Lau won his second Best Leading Actor Award for his role in his 100th film A Fighter's Blue. The Hong Kong Film Critics's Association also has voted for the top 10 Chinese and foreign films released in Hong Kong in 2000 .
