Chinese languages

Hi Everyone. I bought my copy of the Hanyu Dazidian at a local Chinese bookstore here in the Philippines. Is it cheap to obtain it at 300 dollars for the 8 red hard-covered volumes? My copy is from the publisher "Far-East Book Co.,in Taiwan.
Which is better,the Kangxi Dictionary,or the Hanyu Dazidian? Where can I obtain a copy of the Kangxi Dictionary? I have never even seen one.
As for the Hanyu Dazidian,I really find it very very interesting,most especially the seal script forms of every character.
