Dialect spoken in Leping, Jiangxi??

I am interested in knowing the Gan or Hakka sub-dialect spoken in Leping, Jiangxi. Leping is not far from Nanchang, although I understand that a recent English-speaking visitor had to hire a translator in Leping for her translator from Nanchang (who spoke Mandarin... perhaps Gan or Hakka).

Are many of the rural community dialects similar to Gan or Hakka?
We are adopting a 3 year old girl who is currently living in Leping and although she will learn English quickly after arriving home, I would at least like to learn a few "comforting words" for those first few weeks home. It would also be nice to learn a familiar children's song or nursery rhyme to help preserve a little something from her native language.

We may have the opportunity to meet with her foster mother and just a few phrases like "hello, thank you, beautiful", etc. would be helpful.
