Korean and Taishanese

I'm Korean but Whenever I listen to Taishanese people speak.....I can really understand them!FE:Seep Bak is 18

There is some intelligibility between them since Korean use both native numbers and Chinese numbers.

Taishanese is a sub-dialect of Cantonese spoken in the siyep/siyip area of Guangdong province.

Not only in Korean but also Japanese
Because some concept/system, like number/ guan(官) in how many pin(品) are come from China, So they are sound likely.
e.g. 一品官/二品官

I'm Taishanese and currently learning Korean and I have noticed both language is very similar for some words. Specifically these two. For example, Korea is hanguk and in taishanese, it's honguk. "Country" sounds almost the same.
