Chinese languages

A freind of mine was going to get a tattoo, when he showed me the characters they didnt seem to be hiragana or katakana and another friend said there in no why kanji.




If someone knows what laguiage these are and can help me translate then I would be mos thankful[/img]

They are hanzi/kanji, but the photograph is mirrored.
