"o" names
Re: "o" names
There are a few double-syllable Chinese last names, one of them is "Ouyang" (pronounced "Oh-young").
Selecting a first name in Chinese is quite different than in English (or other European languages). In English, there's sort of a "list" of names to pick from (for example, John, Mark, William for boys, Michelle, Catherine, Kelly for girls). However, in Chinese, parents generally "create" a given name for their children. Chinese given names are usually one or two syllables. Almost everyone has a unique name with a unique meaning. However, there are many first names that *COULD* start with "O".

LITTLE SISTER, here's one 'LING', litteraly means zero as in counting. my phone number for example is yao san qi wu ling ling wu ba jeo san qi.
and it's quite an easy name to say and sounds good, so we'll call you Ling (0)
