my dog's name

I just acquired a chinese chrested dog and want to name him Bandit, but in chinese. Shao Tow is a transliteration I acquired recently. Is this correct, are there other names. If so, how would I pronouce it in English?

Within 2 weeks we get our newborn dog, it is a chinese sharpei (male) and we want to give it a chinese name.
Can you translate for me the words / name :my friend and friendly dog ?
one of these names my dog will get.
If you can give me a quick replay i would be very gratefull because the name must be entered on his birthcertificates.
