i'm from shanghai.

as stacy said who is from taiwan,how to say is not very important.coz they

r no difference.we prefer to say "sheng dan kuai le",just because

here "jie" is not important.

Thanks for your reply.=) Don't say jie? Uh, oh. Looks like my inside information about speaking Chinese is sending me mixed signals, again. I was emailing my friends in Taiwan and they said most people add the "jie"...

PS Yes, I looked up "jie" in a dictionary and it does mean festival. So, sheng dan jie kuai le is holy birth holiday happy...
