I`m a Chinese girl,I want to tell you that in China,peope like using some meaningful names,I think a name about Chinese history will be very good,
what about 西施(see shi),she is one of the most famous beauties in Chinese history,and she is wise and brave.

Do you know how/why she died so early?
Have you read Chinese History or 唐?? e.g.?恨歌

That's just like the Christian West, where it was customary to give a name to a person that represents some virtue or Saint. My name is Michael, which means 'face of God' in Hebrew after Michael the Archangel, my daughter's name is Claire, 'spiritual light', after St. Clare of the Middle Ages...would her name be 'Ming' in Chinese? However, my Chinese name means 'tall rice', do you have a better hanzi combo? Duoxie!
