Linguistics is indeed very interesting. Although Indonesian has been the language of instruction since my elementary school, I don't know much about its etymology. And I don't even know if there are Indonesian linguists who can explain the origin of "akan". I have never come across books on Indonesian etymology. Now I think of it as quite unbelievable....hmmm....<<shaking my head>>...
