what text editor do you use to get your chinese characters. Does it also provide pinyin with tones and English to pinyin lookup (dictionary)?

hey paul,

I use a downloaded program from www.njstar.com

I use the NJ Communicator link and then download the program.

You can type pinyin and get the characters.

As for a dictionary, I'm not sure.

But you can go to www.zhongwen.com for a good dictionary.

I've downloaded NJ Star and need to practice with it alot.

most, if not all, online translation software takes only one word at
a time to yield hanyu pinyin.

Example i insert 'want' in the NJ Star dictionalry and get back

要【y&agrave;o】 important; essential; want; ask for; wish; desire; ask (or want)
sb. to do sth.; want to; wish to; must; should; it is necessary (or imperative,
essential); shall; will; be going to; need; take; <conj.> if; suppose;
in case.

I then take the 【y&agrave;o】 and paste into the sentence I want to create.
then look for another word.

what i would like to see is a utility that will take and produce phrases or sentences with tones. any ideas?
