The alphabet James posted is WRONG I beg of you don't use it, listen well. Chinese is a logographic language, NOT phonetic! There is absolutely no alphabet in usage in the chinese language, AT ALL! Believe me when I tell you this! Don't look for phonetics in chinese, it does not exist.

Please, pardon my ignorance. I wouldn't think that there is a symbol for the game of dominoes, fortunatly when my friends and I play it, we call it bones. I wonder what the symbols are for the words "dominoes" and "bones"

I'm afraid you're the one that's wrong, Wu. Those alphabets he posted were correct. Both of them. While Chinese is an ideographic script, there are two major phonetic alphabets in use: pinyin and zhuyin (or "bopomofo")
