dear all enthusiasts
i hope the following site (table) can really reply you guys the request of chinese alphabet a to z.
when you say english alphabets. they are abc...xyz that make up all meaningful english words.
in chinese, we say radicals (those 216 in blue color) "http://humanum.arts.cuhk.edu.hk/Lexis/L ... ndex2.html". they are the real mccoys to make up all chinese characters. to make the pronunciation simple a pinyin or pronunciation romanization system was "invent" that make the pronunciation much more easier to non-chinese people.
so you may see an answer in this forum or somewhere to someone "ni(you) hao(good)"=hello in english. in fact, we NEVER write "n-i h-a-o" in our writing, essays, newsapapers, etc!!! "ni hao" is for conversation usage only.
hope this helps.
