: Is this a Cantonese dialectal character?
In my dictionary it looks like a dialectal character and is not in my Mandarin dictionary.
It is 揖 with a 口 on the left hand side.
An online Cantonese character dictionary couldn't find it though.

Re: Nod the head
Hi All,
I think many Cantonese people would rather use the formal word 點頭 than o揖 in writing coz it is easier to understand. I seldom see o揖 used.
Sometimes we would use phonetic symbols instead of trying to write those characterless words.
