Hi!
Have a look at
http://www.shanghaifinance.com/attracti ... /henan.htm
to learn a bit about HeNan (with one 'n', he2 being the yellow river and nan2 meaning 'south of').
From what I read in other webpages, the Zhengzhou-dialect in HeNan is a form of Mandarin, albeit with quite some phonetic change as opposed to Beijing dialect or Putonghua. They say piou, for example, instead of bi3 (nose) and tchiao for kuai4zi (chopsticks) (see
http://www.glossika.com/en/dict/phon/zhengzhou.php)
Where did you get your language sample - in writing or is it just copied from listening?
Regards,
Aurelio
