Hi John:

In standard putonghua pinyin it's "xiexie", not xiaxia ;-)

Giving a romanisation of a name, I guess, and expecting others to be able to tell you what it means is a difficult feat. The Chinese character input lists over twenty characters for "kang" which means it could just be about anything. Li on the otherhand is a syllable loaded with characters over 230 on my Chinese input, disregarding the simplified characters.

With this many combinations, you're looking at a possible guess of one in 4600 possible combos.

Atack? Likewise, could just be anything....

Why don't you as the people who gave them the name, like their parents. Often, you can get them to tell you a story about it, and why they chose the name.

Excuse me if my translations are inaccurate, i'm only 15.

"Kang Li" as a phrase by itself means "a married couple". If you're referring to a name then the possibilities are endless...i would need to see the characters to help you.

And "attack" can be "gong ji" if you're referring to attack as in wars and stuff like that.

Hi,

I need a translation into Chinese characters of the concepts of "High Quality" , "passion for high quality" and "Quality is our Passion".

If it helps this relates to making herbal products.

Can anyone help.

Many thanks

Aurelio,

Oh, okay. But as you may have heard me rant before, when it comes to anything Chinese, there is no such thing as "standard"...=)

Zai jian,

Ming Che

PS Did I romanize "good-bye" the right way?=)
