Dear Hakka speakers,

In what ways can you say the numbers 1001 and 1010 in your Hakka language.

Thanks a lot!

Thomas

Thanks Dyl!

Did you ever hear someone use

yit5 cien1 lang2 lang2 yit5 for 1001 and
yit5 cien1 lang2 yit5 for 1010?

It does not coincide with Cantonese and I assume they are wrong.

Regards,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I don't think I've ever heard of yit5 cien1 lang2 lang2 yit5 for 1001.

For yit5 cien1 lang2 yit5, it could mean 1010, and kinda ambiguous, which is why I would add sip6 to indicate the positioning. I'll need to have a look at a grammar of Chinese to see....

Dyl.
