i don't know exactly but maybe "em sai." i just hear that response after i say "doh zhe" or "m goi"

Translate a Character from Simplified to Traditional

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can translate a word in my name from simplified to traditional. The character is made up with fire and mountain next to eachother. It is pronounced chan' . I heard it was a very difficult character. My whole name is pronounced chan' wen in cantonese. thanks

I want to learn cantonese because my friends only know how to speak cantonese and i speak taishanese. also when i was vacationing in Hong Kong, i wasn't able to communicate with anyone except in english. i'm hoping to go back though after my cantonese improve.

Toisanese is just the Cantonese pronunciation and Taishanese is the Mandarin pronunciation. In Taishanese, its hoisanese

I'm Taishanese and currently learning Korean and I have noticed both language is very similar for some words. Specifically these two. For example, Korea is hanguk and in taishanese, it's honguk. "Country" sounds almost the same.
