maybe you are right, but technology is developing. I don't think Chinese will last just because of present technology. No offense, but listen to yourself, do you mean that as people keep coming up with more and more new ideas of resolving problems, an issue already taken care of will become unsolva...

Re: You don't know history of korea

I have no time to make a comment on your messages, but I just give you what's the history of korea documented by the careful archealogical studies.... I see the history of Korea. And I see you have time gathering so much information in order to complicate this ridiculous topic while not being able ...

The first emperor of China has a last name 'bear'.Korean's ancient Kingdom Koguryo is basically called 'Maek' race, and Maek is some kind of bear. There are lots of bear related ancient names throughout the whole Korea. Some heads of chinese dynasties could be korean too. You are real good at arche...

Most of the documented history is merely 2000 years ago, and we only have archeology to make an intelligent guess. We have many artefacts remnants in north east asia, where altaic civilizations flourished in ancien times. I think history should be rewritten in some way.... I've seen this chronology...

Curious, what was the language spoken in China before the Koreans "invented" the Chinese language? Or even before there was a Korea? Why would Chinese people discard their own language back then, and take up this new invention nationwide? There's no such thing as "inventing" a language. Languages ar...

I might be wrong but I've heard once a chinese friend saying that 眯眯 (mimi) could be used as a slang for "nipples". That might explain it. But I asked other people who did'nt know. Another point, can 马马虎虎 (mamahuhu) be considered as slang? it's "咪咪". Pay attention when Chinese call cats. When they ...

Re: How are files kept?

Something I've been wondering about for a long time, and thought this might be a place I could find an answer...in languages that don't use an alphabet, how does one organize files (since you can't put them in alphabetical order)? Pam Dotson As many ways as how you can look up a Chinese character i...

Interesting idea. But with all due respect, it's unpractical. BTW, where do you come from? alefbet. I appreciate your interest in the Chinese language. I've got a couple of Brazilian friends from Embraer, currently they work in the Harbin Aircraft Factory, on the joint venture between China and Braz...

Chinese characters WILL last

A language is itself just because the way it is. Based on the fact that some foreign friends don't have adequate understanding about written Chinese, and that some of them claim that Chinese characters are destined to die out, I realized this topic should be brought up, in order to make it known to ...

You're only half way on your complete understanding 'bout written Chinese when've you got rid of all computerized fonts. People don't write the way characters appear on standard screen. We write fast and so the standard fonts deform. Maybe you can grab a Chinese guy's note book and try to figure wha...

Eventually I came to realize it was truly a painstaking job for someone to spend years on overturning what the world takes for granted. I could even smell the despair within his soul. A couple of interesting logics emerged throughout this article, ridiculous but interesting. I'm making up two simila...

I guess 色眯眯(sounds the same as those above) would be better. Coz when you see the characters you can imagine how such pair of eyes would look like. lol!
