The private romanization is misleading. The whole thing should just be done in IPA, tones included.
Statistics: Posted by amhoanna — Sat Sep 28, 2013 8:43 pm

Ah3 Hock3 is a period story written entirely in Penang Hokkien. It is written to help people get familiar with the TJ system of romanisation as well as to hear how Penang Hokkien is spoken.

This is one of two stories I am working on in creating reading material in Penang Hokkien. This story is set in the 17th century while the other story is set in modern-day Penang. Chapter One is now ready, and I'm happy to share with you.

To listen on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2heDGZW ... 38f7E19gHQ

You can also follow the text here:
http://www.penang-traveltips.com/hokkie ... ter-01.htm
Statistics: Posted by timothytye — Thu Sep 12, 2013 11:45 pm
