Nihao!<br><br><br><br>I'm trying to pick up a little mandarin here and there in preparation for my mandarin course at college this fall.<br><br>I happened across some "slang" but the accent marks are not around.<br><br>could someone provide the rising, flat or falling tones for some words?<br><br>/ \ _<br><br>Léiméngdé - Pronunciation? Supposedly this is my name in Mandarin.<br>shen-me (pronounced shuh-muh?) supposedly meaning "what?"<br>bi-zui (pronounced beetzway?) supposedly meaning "shut up"<br>ai-yah (pronounced aiyah?) supposedly meaning "damn" or an exclamation of suprise/regret?<br>chou-se (pronounced chousee?) supposedly meaning "stinking crap"<br>go-se (pronounced gosee?) supposedly meaning "dog crap"<br>ke-pah pronounced kuhpah?) supposedly horrible, horrific<br><br>I've also been told zao (tzao) supposedly means damn.<br><br>so something like, "ai-yah, whua hui shwa see potongqua"<br>would be (roughly) Damn!
